SCOPE OF WORK
The Scope of Work covered the Design, Supply, Fabrication, De-Construction of existing, Installation and Commissioning of five (5) Dust Collection Systems for lines 2 & 3 of the BHP Billiton Mine Ore Handling – Mt Whaleback Operation Processing Facility.
Works consisted of:
- Mechanical, Structural, Civil and Electrical Design.
- Structural Design included new structures and modifications to existing structures.
- Decommissioning of existing Dust Collection systems and Dust Disposal systems.
- Fabrication of Structural Steel and Mechanical Equipment.
- Site Installation of five (5) Dust Collection Systems including Civil works, Structural Steel, Mechanical Equipment and Electrical.
The dust collection systems consist of baghouse type dust collectors including exhaust fan, bag cleaning system, dirty air ductwork, discharge chutes, agglomeration or slurry disposal system, clean air duct, discharge stack, structural and civil work.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
- Baghouses and ducting designed and engineered to fit within existing infrastructure.
- Installation of five (5) Dust Collection Systems within existing operational infrastructure.
- Dust collectors capacities ranged from 24,156 m³/h to 84,744 m³/h.
- 3D site scanning of existing structures for all duct routes.
