Situation
Our approach provided FMG with an opportunity to identify and review project risks through design, schedule and constructability to best understand the threats and opportunities identified and advance appropriately.
Solution
Aerison was engaged as the primary contractor to deliver the engineering and design, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fabrication, installation, and commissioning works.
The scope included:
- Design, supply, construction, and commissioning of a new Vertical WHIMS Process Plant facility, including all auxiliary services and tie-ins to the existing plant at OPF2 at the Christmas Creek mine site.
- The plant modification will include redirection of the wet screen undersize stream from the existing scrubbing circuit to feed the Brownfields magnetic separation plant.
Highlights
- Tie-in and pipe routing from the current scrubbing and wet screening circuit to a new guard screen bank, with a provision for diverting flow to the current desands cyclone modules.
Outcome
- We successfully execute a range of complex and hazardous projects across the Western Australian Mining sector.
- We value sensible and safe design, integrating all aspects of risk assessment outcomes, constructability, maintainability, and operability requirements.
