Situation
Talison Lithium is expanding it’s existing lithium processing operation in Greenbushes, located approximately 90 km southeast of Bunbury. The facility produces a range of lithium mineral concentrates including the production of SC6.0 concentrates from the existing Chemical Grade Plant 1 (CGP1), which is operating at its maximum production capacity. The expansion requires a new HV Switchroom.
Solution
Aerison were engaged as the primary engineer, procurement, and construction contractor to deliver the engineering and design, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and commissioning works.
The scope included:
- Design, structurally engineered, manufacture, supply, assemble and testing of a 27m x 6m transportable HV Switchroom.
Project Highlights:
- Deflection allowance:
- HV switch boards – ± 1mm over 1m in all directions, ± 3mm over entire length
- VESDA System (Very Early Smoke Detection System) installed within the switchroom.
- Split system air conditioning N+1 requirement
- Pressurisation Unit.
- Switchroom designed to be road transportable in 1 piece
