Client: Rio Tinto – Iron Ore
Location: Cape Lambert
Project Duration: November 2015 – October 2016
Service Type: Acoustic – Power Generation
SCOPE OF WORK
- Design, manufacture, supply and assemble two (2) custom built acoustic enclosures to suit an MTU 12V4000G23 genset, including cooling, ventilation, exhaust, fuel tank and electrical packaging.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
- Custom built 40’ acoustic enclosure based on the dimensions of a ISO 40’ high cube container
- Acoustic enclosure package designed to maintain operational efficiencies of diesel generator set whilst achieving a Sound Pressure Level of below 85dB(A) at 1.5m above grade at a distance of 1m from any external surface of the package
- Negative pressure forced ventilation system, designed to maintain internal enclosure temperatures at or below a 10?C rise from external ambient temperatures up to a maximum of 50?C
- Exhaust and muffler fully fabricated from 316 stainless steel
- 2,500L double skinned diesel fuel tank internally mounted within the enclosure
- Package designed to be fully operational in cyclonic conditions (100m/s winds).
